Bluetooth® CTIA certification

The Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) is the telecommunications industry’s sector association in the USA. The Bluetooth® CTIA Compatibility Certification Programme therefore targets mobile phones, headsets and hands-free car kits sold in the USA.

Bluetooth® CTIA certification verifies the device’s conformity with the Bluetooth® CTIA Compatibility Certification Programme. US carriers require Bluetooth CTIA certification in addition to the Bluetooth® SIG Qualification Programme.

The CTIA programme requires the testing of Bluetooth®-enabled mobile phones, Bluetooth® headsets and Bluetooth® hands-free car kits against a series of CTIA-approved B-devices.
