• Better Cotton Initiative Chain of Custody Certification: To certify the physical journey and traceability of your Better Cotton throughout the supply chain, form farm to final product. 

• Better Cotton Independent Assessment: To verify brand and retailer members’ annual BC cotton consumption data submission. Mandatory for Retailer and Brand members only, to verify the reliability and consistency of cotton consumption measurements.

Better Cotton Initiative Chain of Custody Certification service

This innovative system, built on the user-friendly Better Cotton Platform (BCP), empowers informed decision-making, allowing you to:

• Identify the source country of your Traceable Better Cotton.

• Support cotton farming communities through future impact investments driven by traceability data.

Bureau Veritas, as an approved BCI certification body, provides an extra layer of trust through independent certification services. Our Chain of Custody Certification service that the "Traceable Better Cotton" (the physical cotton within your products) has been tracked from farm to final product and met with Better Cotton Initiative Chain of Custody Standard.

Better Cotton Independent Assessment

Independent assessment is the cornerstone of accountability.  For brand and retailer members of BC, submitting annual cotton consumption data is mandatory. 

In this service, we verify the cotton consumption figures you submit to the BC annually.  Our auditors assess your calculation methodology and compare it with BC guidelines, verify the accuracy and reliability of your reported data.
