Bureau Veritas accredited by Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department for Hong Kong-Guangdong Cleaner Production Partnership Programme
January 14, 2025 | Hong Kong – Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services ("Bureau Veritas"), a world leader in testing, inspection, and certification services, today announced it’s accreditation in the Hong Kong-Guangdong Cleaner Production Partnership Programme (“CPPP”), supporting factories in the region to adopt cleaner production technologies.
The accreditation represents another step forward for Bureau Veritas’ expanding sustainability offering, enabling it to provide further support as our clients’ preferred partner for supply chain decarbonization services.
The Hong Kong-Guangdong Cleaner Production Partnership Programme provides funding and technical support to Hong Kong-owned factories operating in Greater China’s Guangdong Province to adopt cleaner production technologies. The program aims to encourage energy saving and emission reduction in the region.
Launched in 2008 by the Environmental Protection Department of the HKSAR Government, CPPP has provided funding support for over 4,200 applications to date, aiming to promote adoption of cleaner production technologies and practices by factories in the region.
Priority for funding support is given to companies with factories belonging to any of the 8 targeted industries that include Furniture, Metal products, Paper products and Textiles amongst others.
Bureau Veritas' accreditation in the program enables it to supplement its’ resource and energy diagnosis solutions, and means that it’s decarbonization clients reducing emissions within their production processes can apply for potential government rebates and technical support to help reach emissions goals.

Following the accreditation, Bureau Veritas will be hosting a webinar on February 25, 2025 alongside a speaker from IPE and HKPC to discuss decarbonization trends in the region, and how its’ ever-expanding portfolio of solutions in the field can support businesses in adopting cleaner production processes.
