Bureau Veritas in June attended the first "Shanghai Carbon Neutrality and Footprint" exhibition ('Shanghai CFP Expo') at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, part of the continued development of its product Sustainability and Eco-design portfolio.
Bureau Veritas CPS China leadership attended the event, alongside valued clients spanning a wide range of technology product lines, for example, PV Inverters and commercial HVAC systems, as well as representatives from the China Innovation Center for Vehicles – with whom Bureau Veritas collaborates closely with across a range of New Mobility innovations.
The Shanghai CFP Expo was attended by more than 600 domestic and foreign exhibitors and was attended by over 100,000 visitors over the course of the exhibition.
The first exhibition of its kind in China, the exhibition focuses on the promotion of green and low-carbon technologies, products and achievements, aiming to build a platform for the docking and exchange of various subjects in the whole industry chain of carbon neutrality and promote the green and low-carbon transformation of economic and social development.
Bureau Veritas exhibited and presented at the event, with David Zhu, General Manager of Bureau Veritas China Electrical Product Testing, Stone Shi, General Manager of Bureau Veritas China New Mobility Testing, and Siyao Chen, Sustainability and Eco-design Manager for Technology Products, presented at the event alongside Chen Wei, Vice President of Sunshine Carbon, a leading PV Inverter manufacturer.
Bureau Veritas continued the development of sustainability and eco-design focused products and services, David Zhu said at the exhibition, "Carbon neutrality and carbon emission reduction is a major trend globally. In recent years, countries around the world have successively developed new regulations and corresponding policies – including China, in order to promote emission reduction, sustainable development plays a key role in industrial development, a trend that will continue into the future."
Siyao Chen introduced Bureau Veritas' suite of sustainability and eco-design services for Technology clients at the exhibition. The portfolio scope spans the full customer journey for sustainability and eco-design, from Product Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), Technical support for sustainable design of products (Eco-design), Professional training, Environmental information communication and certification – a cohesive suite allowing Bureau Veritas to support its clients develop more sustainable products.
