New Testing Laboratory Opens in Shanghai offering Full 360 Testing, Inspection and Certification Solution

Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services has announced the opening of its new Cybersecurity laboratory located in Shanghai, China, to further its ability to support clients in producing more secure and reliable consumer technology devices for end-users.

The new laboratory, in Shanghai’s southwest, opens at a time of growth for Bureau Veritas’ Cybersecurity business – a key focus within their technology strategy – and demonstrates the business’ drive for continuous excellence in, and upgrading of its technology testing capabilities.

Cybersecurity is becoming increasingly important to businesses and regulatory bodies around the globe, as more consumers become aware of the importance of adequately secure devices, and governments are increasingly regulating within the field. The new Shanghai Cybersecurity laboratory – integrated within a wider expansion of Bureau Veritas’ wireless and electrical testing facilities in the city – will help meet rising client demands for Cybersecurity testing.

The new laboratory includes capabilities for key cybersecurity product lines: Consumer IoT devices, Medical Technology, Wireless, and also Industrial Cybersecurity – a field in which Bureau Veritas is a global leader in certifications. Locationally, it is situated within the wider Shanghai laboratory cluster which also includes Automotive and Electronic testing and Certification facilities.
