Bureau Veritas CPS Puebla lab achieves NOM 252 accreditation
Full toy certification support now available in Mexico
Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services is pleased to announce that its Puebla laboratory in Mexico has received accreditation for NOM 252, the Mexican Official Standard governing heavy metal limits in toys and school articles.
Combined with existing ANCE capabilities, this accreditation enables the Mexico team to provide complete NOM certification support for both electrical and non-electrical toys — covering the full scope of Mexico's toy safety regulatory framework including NOM-015 (labelling), NOM-252 (chemical safety), and the electrical toy standards NOM-003 and NOM-001.
For importers and brands selling into the Mexican market, Bureau Veritas CPS now offers a single, accredited partner for end-to-end toy compliance — removing the need for intermediaries and delivering a faster, more cost-effective path to market access.
Testing capabilities include mechanical and physical properties, analytical and chemical testing, flammability, performance, and labelling — against both Mexican standards and major international frameworks including ASTM, EN 71, and ISO 8124.
