Bureau Veritas’ Ellen Roaldi Receives ASTM Award of Excellence
Bureau Veritas is pleased to announce that Ellen Roaldi, Senior Regulatory Specialist, has received the ASTM Award of Excellence.
Ellen received this award at the January 2024 ASTM meeting from ASTM’s Ramona Haskins, Chair of D13 Committee.
Ellen is being recognized for her outstanding service to Committee D13 on Textiles and the U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) for ISO TC 38 Textiles. Her dedicated leadership as Subcommittee Chair for both D13.52 on Flammability and D13.62 on Labeling and steadfast efforts as the TAG secretary for TC38/SC23, TC38/SC24, and multiple working groups have been appreciated. Her contributions have made a significant and lasting impact on improving the safety of consumer products and the lives of consumers.
Ellen been a member of ASTM International for 21 years and is a certified trainer for ASTM in the areas of General Textile Methods, and areas of Flammability for Children's Sleepwear and for General Wearing Apparel.
Ellen is now the Vice Chair of both ASTM D13.52 Flammability, and D13.62 Labeling Subcommittees. She is a voting member of ASTM 13.63, voting member of F23 for Home Furnishings and for F23: Standard Specification for Barrier Face Coverings, and is a participating and voting member in F15 for the development of a new Wearable Blanket Standard, and Weighted Blanket Standards. She is also a ASTM Liaison Chair between ASTM D13.52, F08, and CGSB. She is also the Secretary of the AATCC Staining and voting member of other AATCC Committees, and a participating member IABFLO. In addition, Ellen is the US delegate as the ISO Secretary for the US Tag committee for TC 38. Under ANSI Standards Alliance and ASTM, she has participated in workshops for East Africa countries, Vietnam, and Standards Alliance partners in Peru.
Ellen has been working at Bureau Veritas for 32 years, currently responsible for developing new or updated guidance, and provides training and customer service support to clients.
