Bureau Veritas invited to speak at CPIA's 2026 Mid-Year Solar PV Industry Review and Outlook Conference

On July 22-23, 2026, the China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA) convened the “2026 Mid-Year Photovoltaic Industry Review and Outlook Conference” in Ningbo, Zhejiang. The event brought together representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Energy Administration, industry experts and companies across the solar PV value chain to assess market conditions and explore new pathways for the high-quality development of China's photovoltaic industry.

Catherine Wang, Director of Supply Chain Solutions, Bureau Veritas CPS China, was invited to deliver a keynote speech titled "From Scale Advantage to Green Competitiveness". She noted that China's solar PV industry has built world-leading manufacturing scale, a complete value chain and rapidly advancing technologies. The next step is to translate these strengths into long-term global trust through verified carbon performance, reliable quality, transparent supply chains and strong compliance capabilities across markets.

As a strategic partner of CPIA, Bureau Veritas contributed its independent third-party expertise to the conference. In June 2026, Bureau Veritas and CPIA signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Munich, Germany, to advance compliance services and international market collaboration for the solar PV and energy storage sectors. The Ningbo conference marked an important step in turning that framework into practical support for companies.

Looking ahead, Bureau Veritas will draw on its service network spanning more than 140 countries and territories and work with CPIA on practical solutions in carbon footprint accounting, carbon footprint certification and EU Battery Regulation compliance. From standards interpretation and conformity assessment to supply chain management, the aim is to give companies clearer pathways and actionable methods, helping them navigate evolving rules with proven expertise.

From Munich to Ningbo, the partnership between Bureau Veritas and CPIA is moving from framework to action. By connecting trust through standards, empowering trade through services and translating international experience into practical tools for Chinese enterprises, both parties will continue to support the global and sustainable development of China's solar PV industry.
