Bureau Veritas is delighted to announce that its Consumer Products Services division (BVCPS) – Technology Products Taiwan wireless laboratory is successfully approved by Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF) and obtained the qualifications of both ISA/IEC 62443-4-2 and Component Security Assurance (CSA) V1.0.0. Bureau Veritas is the only testing laboratory in the world to have both the testing qualifications which also demonstrates the global leading position of Bureau Veritas in the field of cybersecurity testing and certification.

The requirement of cybersecurity is nearly all around! There are different industrial standards to respond to internationally and meeting the industries’ needs has become a must to attain competitive advantages for enterprises. The international standard of information technology security (IT) are ISO 27001 and ISO 27002, and these two are the most recognized ones and widely been adopted nowadays. In addition, with the rise of Industry 4.0 and the IIoT, multiple connections between industrial control systems, computer operations, and server services have become the norm. Therefore network security is the key concern today. In order to enhance the system security, a wide range of organizations have begun to establish information security standards for connected equipment. IEC 62443 is currently the most accepted standard.

The IEC 62443, which was initiated by International Society of Automation (ISA) and publicly introduced by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), is a globally verified security standard of “Industrial Automation and Control Management”. This standard not only provides proper OT guidance to engineering management, but directly aims at the complete protection and information security indicator of risk management in the industrial environment. In addition, IEC 62443 IIOT will soon be publicized, hence the best way to improve the resilience of organizations’ information security is through practicing the indicated standards.

In Taiwan, Bureau Veritas has successfully obtained the qualifications of both ISA/IEC 62443-4-2 and the Component Security Assurance (CSA) V1.0.0, the only laboratory worldwide achieving this. Bureau Veritas not only aims at assisting local manufacturers to solve problems of product compliance, but also supports them to shorten the time of information security assessment, and quickly catch the opportunities of aligning with the global market.

Bureau Veritas not only supports clients to demonstrate their cyber security compliance but also guides them to implement good practices such as: security governance, risk mapping and security systems, plan maintenance, tools detection, defense in depth. This will allow the team to perform dual security checks during the design and testing phases, effectively reducing cybersecurity risks for products before selling to the market. Partnering with Bureau Veritas can help you accurately grasp the development trends of information security technology and the multi-dimensional solutions for your company.
