Bureau Veritas’ Regulations Database Available to The Toy Association Members
Bureau Veritas, the leading global Testing, Inspection and Certification provider, is pleased to announce that The Toy Association is now offering the Bureau Veritas Regulations database for key toy markets to their members, as part of the Association’s newest safety and compliance services.
Regulations, one of Bureau Veritas’ Knowledge Products offerings, is an industry leading database for consumer product regulations and mandatory standards. Toy Association regular members will have complimentary access to the standards and requirements applicable to toys in five major consumer regions.
The Toy Assciation launched their new member tools during a March 13 webinar, “Exploring the Safety & Compliance Landscape: Getting Started with The Toy Association’s Two New Member Services.” The webinar provided important details on how to get started on each of the two services—BV’s Regulations Offering and the Toy Association-developed Safety Education Program--, as well as topics covered in the Safety Education Program and a walk-through of Regulations.
Regulations, available on the OneSource™ platform, contains regulations and mandatory standards for 100 Countries and 75 Product Categories, providing up-to-date technical and regulatory information on existing and new markets. Regulations provides instant access to comprehensive regulatory requirements for the products and countries you need, in one powerful database – with timely updates giving you confidence in the information’s accuracy.
“Bureau Veritas is very proud to have recently celebrated our 30 year membership with The Toy Association. Our strong relationship and active involvement with The Toy Association is part of our dedication to technical knowledge leadership and working on behalf of our clients towards improving toy quality and safety for children,” noted Richard Rosati, Vice President of Governmental Affairs and Industry Standards for Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services.
“The Regulations database is a great addition to The Toy Association’s suite of safety and compliance resources for members, and an excellent complement to our Safety Education Program,” said Ed Desmond, executive vice president of external affairs at The Toy Association. “Positive feedback is already flowing in from toy companies who say the tool is practical, informative, and easy to use.”
The Toy Association™, Inc. is the not-for-profit trade association representing all businesses that design, produce, license, and deliver toys and youth entertainment products for kids of all ages. The newly launched Safety Education Program is an online course led by top experts from the Association, who discuss critical federal, state, and international product safety information; provide details about compliance based on specific toy types; and lend insight into how to keep track of standards as they evolve. Both new tools are available to The Toy Association members free of charge. Learn more.
