Bureau Veritas’ Richard Rosati Named ICPHSO President Elect

Bureau Veritas, the global leading Testing, Inspection and Certification provider, is pleased to announce that Richard Rosati, Vice President of Governmental Affairs and Industry Standards, has been named President Elect and the 2020 Symposium Planning Chair of the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO).  ICPHSO made this announcement, along with other Board Member and Executive Committee selctions, last week at its Annual Meeting and Training Symposium held in Washington, D.C.

Founded in 1993, ICPHSO is the only organization which attracts a global membership of health and safety professionals and meets annually during three training conferences, to exchange ideas, share information, and address health and safety concerns affecting all consumers. ICPHSO members represent U.S. and global government agencies, manufacturers, importers, retailers, trade associations, certification/testing laboratories, law firms, academia, standards writing organizations, consultants, media and consumer advocacy groups. Rick has been with Bureau Veritas since 2000. In his current role, Rick is responsible for monitoring and communicating legislative and regulatory activity, participating in pertinent standards development activity and supporting industry activities and trade shows.   Rick is a member of ASTM, JPMA,TIA and ICPHSO.  Rick also is the Chair of the ASTM F15 Executive Committee for Consumer Products.  Rick has presented at various conferences and trade shows including ICPHSO, ACI, DRI, JPMA, Toy Fair, AAFA, Magic and CPSC hearings.  Rick is also an instructor for the Consumer Product Safety Professional Certification Program offered through Saint Louis University’s Chaifetz School of Business.  Rick has a Bachelors’ degree in Industrial Technology from the State University College at Buffalo and a MBA in international business from St. Bonaventure University.
