Bureau Veritas Showcases New Energy, Sustainability and Cybersecurity Solutions at Energy Taiwan | October 14 - 16

Taiwan is investing in clean energy, energy storage and energy efficiency to meet growing demand for low-carbon electricity and work toward its 2050 net-zero goal. Energy Taiwan, taking place from October 14 - 16 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, will bring together technologies and services to help businesses make this shift. 1. New Energy

Tackling the 5MW Energy Regulation Mandate: One-Stop Behind-the-Meter Solar & Storage Certification In response to the Ministry of Economic Affairs' anticipated 5MW mandatory threshold under the Energy Management Act, combined with the 2027–2030 AI power gap, enterprises are accelerating the deployment of self-consumption "solar-plus-storage microgrids." Bureau Veritas provides IEC 62933 third-party site verification covering early-stage design review, laboratory type testing, and site acceptance testing (SAT). This comprehensive verification enables major energy users to fast-track approvals for Taipower grid connection, Energy Administration regulatory review, insurance underwriting, and green financing. Additionally, BV offers grid compatibility, functional safety, and Taiwan VPC mark testing for high-power Power Conversion Systems (PCS, 360kW+), solar inverters, and battery storage systems.
Hydrogen & Advanced Energy Verification: Showcasing testing, inspection, and verification capabilities across energy storage and new energy fields to validate system safety and regulatory compliance. In line with global green hydrogen trends, BV introduces the "Renewable Hydrogen Label" alongside full-lifecycle TIC services covering hydrogen production, transportation, storage, and nuclear energy.
Nuclear Power Plant and Facility Safety Assurance: Showcasing comprehensive solutions for nuclear energy projects, helping to support the compliance, safety, and operational viability of nuclear assets. Services include verifying equipment conformity with nuclear safety requirements and local regulations, enhancing the safety and reliability of nuclear power plants and associated facilities, and mitigating environmental and personnel risks.
Battery Chemical & Performance Verification: Offering Battery Chemical Testing and performance verification services, including material analysis, hazardous substance screening, and safety evaluations to verify battery products meet international regulations (such as IEC 62619 / UL 1973) and market demands, supporting safe and sustainable energy storage applications.

2. Sustainability

Providing carbon footprint accounting, decarbonization roadmaps, supply chain carbon data management, and carbon neutrality advisory services to assist enterprises in establishing robust ESG governance.
Quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions arising from transport chain operations: BV provides ISO 14083 and training services to help organizations quantify, report, and manage transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions, enhancing the credibility of sustainability disclosures.
Energy and Carbon Management: BV offers sustainability certification, verification, and training services covering ISO 50001, ISCC, GHG Protocol, and CBAM, helping organizations enhance governance and accelerate their sustainability journey.

3. Cybersecurity & AI Governance
