California Proposition 65 Settlements

The following is a summary of California Proposition 65 settlements recently finalized that involve consumer products in Q3-Q4, 2025.

Requirements for New Settlements:

First aid /athletic/ body tapes, bandages, and wraps
•    Less than 100 ppm (0.01%) of total fluorine, if exceed, further testing conduct for PFOA (#1)

Sport bras
•    No more than 200 ppb (0.00002%) of BPA

Baby wipes
•    Less than 100 ppm (0.01%) of total fluorine, if exceed, further testing conduct for PFOS (#2)

Update current criteria by additional settlements:

Soft carrying bags, cases, totes backpack coolers, diaper backpacks
•    Less than 100 ppm (0.01%) of total fluorine, if exceed, further testing conduct for PFOA (#1)
Changes: Added new settlement citation for diaper backpack

Jackets and ponchos meant to protect the wearer from rain and snow and rain pants
•    Less than 100 ppm (0.01%) of total fluorine, if exceed, further testing conduct for PFOA (#1)
Changes: Added new settlement citation for rain pant

Thermal papers
•    No more than 20 mg/kg (0.002%) of BPA
•    No more than 100 mg/kg (0.01%) of BPS
Changes: Added new settlement citation for BPS

Pet accessories
•    No more than 1000 mg/kg (0.1%) of DEHP
Changes: Added new settlement citation for shear briefcases/grooming hammocks/grooming sleeves

Remarks
#1 PFOA (BV reporting limit is 0.01 ppm)
#2 PFOS (BV reporting limit is 0.01 ppm)
