China Market Updates: New Substances and Materials Safe for Food Contact Use Approved by National Health Commission

The National Health Commission (NHC) of P.R. China announced three new food additives, four new food contact materials and related additives that have been evaluated and approved in the notification on 7 September 2022. This update lists the food contact materials and their newly approved additives.

1. Expanded scope of additive for food contact materials and products.

Such restrictive conditions shall be labelled according to GB 4806.1.

3．Expanded scope of resin for food contact materials and products.
