China National Health Committee (NHC) published 32 national food safety standards, including 2 standards on food contact materials, these 2 standards will replace the previous version of standards. This bulletin lists out brief comparison of the new and current standards.
1. GB 4806.10-2025 National food safety standards – paint and coating for food contact materials and articles, will be implemented from 2 September 2026, and replacing GB 4806.10-2016.
2. GB 4806.16-2025 National food safety standards – food contact silicone rubber materials and articles, will be implemented from 2 September 2026, and replacing GB 4806.11-2016 references to silicone rubber.
