Colorado Adds More Products to PFAS Prohibition

Colorado has amended its PFAS in products law to ban additional products containing intentionally added PFAS. Specifics on the products and effective dates are included below.

The following have been added to existing PFAS prohibitions:

Jan 1, 2026	Cleaning Products (automotive, air care, general, polishing and floor maintenance) Cookware Dental Floss Menstruation Products Ski Wax Artificial Turf (Installation)	Automotive cleaning = washing, waxing, polishing and treatment of interior/exterior
Jan 1, 2028	Outdoor apparel for severe wet conditions Cleaning products for floor maintenance in medical and hospital settings Textile articles including footwear, apparel, accessories, backpacks and handbags Food equipment intended primarily for use in commercial settings	Labeling no longer allowed for certain outdoor apparel Textile articles do not include items used for medical, industrial or professional uses
