CPSC Publishes Direct Final Rule for Hand-Held Infant Carriers

May. 20 2020

On Wednesday, May 20, 2020, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) staff published within the Federal Register a Direct Final Rule for 16 CFR Part 1225, Safety Standard for Hand-Held Infant Carriers. 16 CFR Part 1225 will now reference ASTM F2050-19, Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Hand-Held Infant Carriers as mandatory with no modifications.

This Direct Final Rule will become effective August 3, 2020 unless the CPSC receives any significant or adverse comments by June 19, 2020.
