Background
On 10 September 2026 European Commission published Regulation EU 2026/1423 in the Official Journal of the European Union. This Regulation amends the EU POP Regulation (EU 2019/1021) by adding Chlorpyrifos.
Chlorpyrifos (CAS 2921-88-2) is a pesticide and is not approved as active substances in plant protection and biocidal products in EU.
The substance is restricted with a limit of 0,01 mg/kg (0,000001 % by weight) where it is present in substances, mixtures or articles.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
