The name Polyacryl must be used for Acrylic according to Regulation (EU) No. 1007/2011 for Germany.

The original German version of Regulation (EU) 1007/2011 contained some errors.

Among others, the German word "Seide” (which means silk) was stated in Annex I, Table 2, under item 26 instead of Acrylic, this has now been corrected to Polyacryl and published as corrigendum in the Official Journal of the European Union OJ L 120, 5.5.2012, p. 16 (1007/2011).

This is an important amendment to the fibre regulation and can result in a fine for non-compliance
