Indonesia Telecommunication Authority (SDPPI) has released a new regulation Labels and Warning Sign

On January 14, 2019 Indonesia Telecommunication Authority (SDPPI) has released a new regulation on OPERATIONAL PROVISIONS OF CERTIFICATION OF TOOLS AND / OR TELECOMMUNICATION DEVICES, under PM Kominfo No. 16, 2018.
This regulation is effective per date of promulgation December 31, 2018.
One important change is on the labeling and warning sign. Manufacturer need to take note on this part since the regulation has become effective immediately.
The excerpt of the regulation pertaining label and warning sign were translated as below.
CHAPTER III - LABELS ANDWARNING SIGN
Article 15
#1. Before being traded and / or used, every Telecommunication Tool and / or Equipment that has obtained a Certificate must be attached to the Label and QR Code contained in the Telecommunication Equipment and / or Device Certificate. (Cert ID and QR code as per printed on cert)
#2. Telecommunication tools and / or devices other than short-term telecommunication tools and / or devices (short range devices) must be accompanied by a warning sign by the certificate holder. (Alert sign)
Article 16
(1) The label as referred to in Article 15 paragraph (1) shall be made in accordance with the format as contained in Attachment II which is an integral part of this Ministerial Regulation.
(2) The label as referred to in paragraph 1 shall be attached to each Telecommunication Tool and / or Equipment that has obtained a certificate physically or digitally.
(3) In the event that it cannot be attached to the Telecommunication Tools and / or Equipment as referred to in paragraph 2, the Label shall be attached to each packaging / packaging and / or Telecommunication Equipment that has obtained a Certificate.
(4)The QR Code as referred to in Article 15 paragraph (1) is attached to each packaging / packaging of Telecommunication Tools and / or Devices that have obtained a Certificate.
Article 18
The Certificate Holder must report the implementation of Labeling, QR Code and warning signs as referred to in Article 15 to the Certification Institution no later than 30 (thirty) working days from the issuance of the Certificate by uploading photos of Telecommunication Tools and / or Devices that have been affixed Labels, QR Code and warning signs.
