New California Proposition 65 Settlements

There have been a number of California Proposition 65 settlements recently finalized that involve key chains and jewelry organizers, barware and kitchenware with brass handles, pet waste tools with grips, pet leashes and collars, safety armbands, audio cables, jewelry boxes, costume packaging and costume storage cases, inflatable buffet and salad serving bar, ice scoops, watch bands, golf bag rain hoods, pet toys, polycarbonate goblets and salad servers, beach umbrellas with cases, padlocks, cable locks, pet waste bag holders and ginger cookies.

Key Chains and Jewelry Organizers

• No more than 1000 ppm each of DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIDP, DINP, and DnHP

• Or provide specified warning label 

Barware and Kitchenware with Brass Handles

• Contain less than 200 ppm lead 

• Or provide specified warning label 

Pet Waste Tools with Grips

• Contain less than 1000 ppm DEHP

• Or provide specified warning label 

Pet Leashes and Collars

• No more than 100 ppm Lead and 

• No more than 1.0 ug Lead in Ghost WipeTM test

• Or provide specified warning label 

Safety Armbands

• No more than 100 ppm Lead and 

• No more than 1.0 ug Lead in Ghost WipeTM test

• Or provide specified warning label 

Audio Cables

• Contain less than 1000 ppm DEHP

• Or provide specified warning label 

Jewelry Boxes

• No more than 100 ppm Lead

• No warning label allowed, reformulation is required.

Costume Packaging and Costume Storage Cases

• No more than 1000 ppm each of DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIDP, DINP and DnHP

• No warning label allowed, reformulation is required.

Inflatable Buffet and Salad Serving Bar

• No more than 1000 ppm each of DEHP and DINP

• Or provide specified warning label 

Ice Scoops

• No detectable Bisphenol A

• Or provide specified warning label 

Watch Bands

• Contain less than 1000 ppm DEHP

• Or provide specified warning label 

Golf Bag Rain Hoods

• Contain less than 1000 ppm DEHP

• Or provide specified warning label 

Pet Toys

• No detectable level each of DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIDP, DINP and DnHP

• No detectable lead

• No warning label allowed, reformulation is required.

Polycarbonate Goblets and Salad Servers

• No detectable Bisphenol A

• Or provide specified warning label 

Beach Umbrellas with Cases

• Contain less than 1000 ppm DEHP

• Or provide specified warning label 

Padlocks

• No more than 100 ppm Lead

• Or provide specified warning label 

Cable Locks

• No more than 1000 ppm each of DEHP, DBP and DINP

• Or provide specified warning label 

Pet Waste Bag Holders

• No more than 1000 ppm DEHP

• Or provide specified warning label 

Ginger Cookies

• No more than 300 ppb of acrylamide

• No warning label allowed, reformulation is required.
