There have been a number of California Proposition 65 settlements recently finalized that involve bean bag chair covers, dish drainers, yarn storage bags, yarn needles, book covers, soft balls with covering materials, vinyl covered wires, camp stoves and bath sponges.
Bean bag chair covers
> Requirements
• No more than 1000 ppm DINP
• Warning labels cannot be used as an alternative to meeting the requirement
Dish drainers
> Requirements
• No more than 1000 ppm each of DEHP and DBP
• Warning labels cannot be used as an alternative to meeting the requirement
Yarn storage bags
> Requirements
• No more than 1000 ppm each of DEHP, DBP, BBP, DIDP, DnHP and DINP
• Or provide specified warning label
Yarn needles
> Requirements
• No more than 1000 ppm each of DEHP, DBP, BBP, DIDP, DnHP and DINP
• Or provide specified warning label
Book covers
> Requirements
• No more than 1000 ppm each of DEHP, DBP, BBP, DIDP, DnHP and DINP
• No more than 100 ppm total lead
• Or provide specified warning label
Soft balls with covering materials
> Requirements
• No more than 1000 ppm each of DEHP, DBP, BBP, DIDP, DnHP and DINP
• No more than 100 ppm total lead
• Or provide specified warning label
Vinyl covered wires
> Requirements
• No more than 1000 ppm each of DEHP, DBP, BBP and DINP
• Warning labels cannot be used as an alternative to meeting the requirement
Camp stoves
> Requirements
• No more than 100 ppm total lead
• Or provide specified warning label
Bath sponges
> Requirements
• No more than 1000 ppm DINP
• Or provide specified warning label
