New Hampshire Adds Products to PFAS Ban

Jun. 3 2025

On May 14, New Hampshire added specific wax products to their existing PFAS prohibition law. This will become effective 60 days after signing, or July 13, 2025. The start date for the prohibition will follow the date in the original law.

New Hampshire has added ski wax, boat, and board wax including those used on skim boards, body boards, or surf boards to the existing law under RSA 149-M:64, IV.

Based on the effective dates of the existing laws, as of January 1, 2027, these products can no longer contain intentionally added PFAS if sold in the state of New Hampshire.
