Oct. 21 2019

Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, a world leader in conformity assessment and certification services is proud to announce its laboratory in Milpitas, CA has been approved as a WInnForum Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) Approved Lab and a CBRS Alliance OnGo Authorized Test Lab.  This is the second Bureau Veritas laboratory to be able to offer this service, giving customers more flexibility to be able to test in North America or Asia.

What is OnGo Certification?

OnGo Certification grants commercial products usage of the 150 MHz of shared spectrum in the 3.5 GHz band in the United States. The CBRS Alliance supports commercialization, and adoption of LTE solutions for the US 3.5 GHz Citizens Broadband Radio Service. The CBRS Alliance with the support of member companies, CTIA and Test Labs has developed OnGO Certification to promote interoperability and conformance of vendors for LTE networks using CBRS.

Why do I need OnGO Certification?

Certification helps to ensure interoperability between equipment vendors and operators that is critical in large scale deployments. OnGo Certification devices indicates these products will work as marketed when placed in the field. Certification means that a product has been tested to validate interoperability with other OnGo Certified products.

Why Bureau Veritas?

Bureau Veritas was part of the first wave of labs to support OnGo Certification and is an active member to the CBRS Alliance and Wireless Innovation Forum’s Spectrum Sharing Committee. These two groups govern CBRS for shared wireless broadband use. This expansion of the service to our Milpitas, CA lab shows our ongoing commitment to support manufacturers of products supporting LTE in the 3.5 GHz spectrum.
