The European Chemical Agency has launched a public consultation concerning six potential SVHC. Stakeholders can provide comments on these proposed SVHC until 14 October 2024. Comments will be taken into account when deciding whether the substances will be added to the ECHA Candidate List of SVHC.
Background
The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published six new potential Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) candidates (see table). After preparing dossiers for the substances, the ECHA has now invited interested parties to a public consultation in which they can provide comments within a timeframe of 45 days (until 14 October 2024).
A decision will be made as to whether the substances will be included to the ECHA Candidate List of SVHC after the consultation. Update of the Candidate list is expected in December 2024.
