Saudi Arabia CITC informed all Cellular device must have 4G function

On March 21, 2019 Saudi Arabia Telecommunication Authority (CITC) has sent to all customers the following information (in Arabic). 

 

  1. All WWAN/Cellular devices now must have at least 4G function. (4G is necessary) 
  2. WWAN/Cellular devices must have E-label before being imported in Saudi Arabia. 
  3. If WWAN/Cellular device has no 4G function, it cannot be imported and sold in Saudi Arabia.

PS: Regarding the e-label, it's only applicable for Mobile phones and tablets devices. Device without screen to put the e-label, should submit a declaration letter to get the waiver.
