Feb. 26 2025

February 26, 2025 | Hong KongBureau Veritas Consumer Products Services (“Bureau Veritas”), a world leader in testing, inspection, and certification services, today announced its agreement with ‘Capacity-building Alliance of Sustainable Investment’ (“CASI”), providing technical knowledge to the green finance body to support sustainable goals in its investments.

The partnership represents another step forward for Bureau Veritas’ expanding sustainability offering, enabling it to provide further support as our clients’ preferred partner for supply chain sustainability services.

With over 60 member businesses and organizations, CASI connects the fields of finance and sustainability, aiming to provide green finance providers with training to support more accurate assessment for sustainable credentials of potential investments.

The agreement will see Bureau Veritas leverage its deep understanding of sustainability standards, frameworks and best practices to support CASI’s goal to train 100,000 individuals by 2030, focusing on emerging markets and developing economies, and demonstrates its commitment to supporting the transition to a sustainable economy.

It also enables CASI members to access Bureau Veritas’ suite of sustainability-related services, such as environmental audits, energy assessments and impact verification.

The agreement follows Bureau Veritas’ recent accreditation from Hong Kong Governments’ Cleaner Production Partnership, another avenue through which it can support businesses transition to more sustainable production technologies.

Rakesh Vazirani, Bureau Veritas Head of Decarbonization, said of the partnership,
“This marks a significant moment in bridging the gap between financial expertise and sustainability knowledge, and will support the adoption of green technologies worldwide. By combining CASI's network with Bureau Veritas' technical prowess in sustainability standards and frameworks, we're creating a powerful synergy that will enhance the accuracy and credibility of sustainable investment assessments, particularly in emerging markets where such expertise is most needed.”
