This Bureau Veritas report provides a summary of the California Proposition 65 60-Day Notices in Q2 2022. This report includes the enforcement trends and the most targeted products and chemicals.
Enforcement Trends:
- The product category with the highest amount of notices was food and herbal supplements, which accounted for 49% of all notices this quarter. Of those, the notices were for: 236 for lead, 24 for acrylamide, 54 for more than one metal, 43 for cadmium, four for arsenic, and six for other chemicals.
- 54% of all notices were for metals: 306 for lead, 52 for cadmium, four for arsenic, one for mercury and 52 for two or more metals. The notices covered several product categories.
- 34% of all notices were for phthalates: 199 were for DEHP, 38 for DINP, 15 for DBP, one for DIDP, and six for two or more phthalates. The notices covered a range of products.
