U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Issues Final Ruling on 16 CFR 1110 Updates including eFiling

On December 18, 2024, CPSC Commissioners voted 3-0-2, with all five Commissioners voting to approve the rule.
The majority voted to approve the rule with an amendment extending the general implementation date from 12 months to 18 months. 24 month effective date remains for products imported into a Federal Trade Zone.

This is based on industry comments to the SNPR issued in December 2023 and from the Beta Pilot that concluded in June 2024.
