CA Proposition 65 - 60 Day Notice Summary Q1 2022

This Bureau Veritas report provides a summary of the California Proposition 65 60-Day Notices in Q1 2022. This report includes the enforcement trends and the most targeted products and chemicals.

Enforcement Trends:

The product category with the highest amount of notices was food and herbal supplements, which accounted for 40% of all notices this quarter. Of those, the notices were for: 166 for lead, 47 for acrylamide, 30 for more than one metal, 16 for cadmium, two for mercury, one each for 9-tetrahydrocannabinol and arsenic.
43% of all notices were for metals: 236 for lead, 17 for cadmium, two for mercury, one each for arsenic and nickel, and 31 for two or more metals. The notices covered several product categories.
38% of all notices were for phthalates: 186 were for DEHP, 36 for DINP, 11 for DIDP, 9 for DBP and 8 for two or more phthalates. The notices covered a range of products.
