- Product categories with the most settlements/judgments:
- Food and dietary supplements: 19%
- Bags/kits/cases/totes/backpacks/pouches: 13%
- Metals were the chemicals named in the most settlements and judgements, and accounted for 56% of settlements/judgements. 183 settlements/judgments were for lead, 3 for arsenic, 1 for cadmium, 1 for mercury and 15 for two or more metals.
- Phthalates accounted for 28% of settlements/judgements, with 80 settlements/judgements for DEHP, 19 for DINP, 2 for DBP, 1 for DIDP, and 5 for two or more phthalates.
- Additional note: there were 3 settlements for PFAS chemicals. One was for PFOS in babies’ bibs and two were for PFOS, in children’s lunch bags and gas tank covers.
