60 Day Notice Summary for Q2 2025

Enforcement Trends
•    The product category with the highest number of notices was Food & Herbal Supplements, which accounted 
     for 42% of all notices this quarter.  Of those, the notices were: 316 for lead, 81 for cadmium, 48 for two or 
      more metals, 10 for nitrous oxide, 6 for one or more PFAS chemical (PFOA/PFOS/PFNA), 3 for BPA, 4 for 
     delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol and 1 for retinol. 
•    Receipt paper and stickers accounted for 13% of all notices this quarter. Note that these were all for      Bisphenol S.

•    Chemical Trends: 
      o    58% of all notices were for metals: 491 for lead, 86 for cadmium, 67 for two or more metals, 4 for             chromium (hexavalent compounds) and 1 for mercury.
     o    16% of all notices were for phthalates. 
•    Additional PFAS note: There were 57 notices for PFOA/PFOS/PFNA.
